25 Things I Learned by 25

So today I’m turning 26! TWENTY-SIX. I don't know how because I remember being 21 literally yesterday.

I recently got a tattoo of my favorite bible scripture down my spine. I'm not super religious, but this quote has stood with me for at least 5 years through everything that has been thrown my way. I've had family problems, relationship issues down to truly finding what makes me truly happy within myself.

1 Corinthians 16:14 "Let everything that you do be done in love."

Now that I'm 26 I feel like I've discovered my new found confidence again. I've gotten to a point where I'm not dealing with things that don't bring me peace. I do things that make me happy and spark that fire within my soul. Now I see why elderly people don't be caring about what they say or do, I'm almost there LMAO.

Today I wanted to share a post I’ve personally have been working on since the start of 2021. I wanted to open this new year of life letting go all things negative, letting go of hurt and all insecurity. I hope this helps someone in need <3

1) Consider all advice & criticism (especially from family!- they're older, wiser & have most likely been through what you've been through)

2) It's never too late to learn a new skill.

3) True happiness comes from within YOURSELF. It cannot be found within people or 'things'.

4) Trust your gut feeling.

5) Not everyone will like you & that is perfectly fine.

6) Friendships come & go.

7) Setting boundaries are hard, but attainable & so worth it at the end.

8) Patience is a virtue.

9) No one is thinking about you or you're doing as much as you think they are.

10) Make time for your health, well being & your peace.

11) Don't be so hard on yourself. We're all trying & it's okay,

12) Record ALL your memories, from EVERYWHERE & EVERYTHING.

14) Don't like something? Get up & change it.

15) Respect the choices people make and accept it.

16) Kill 'em with kindness. (!!!!) They'll cringe and suffer from a distance.

17) LEARN TO LET GO of anything that is dead weight.

18) Contribute & give back to your community.

19) Say 'I Love You" more often.

20) What you see on social media isn't real.

21) Sometimes your 'Plan B' is God's 'Plan A'

22) Not everything you lose is a loss

23) This will pass & you will get through whatever dark times you're in at the moment.

24) Never settle!

Happy birthday to myself. Cheers to 26 years & 26 more. Thank you for reading this post. I hope this can truly help someone who is struggling with anything.

With love,
